Scope reference

What counts as a change unit.

Site Care and Task Pack requests are measured in change units. The definition below is the rulebook. It's how we keep turnaround fast and pricing honest.

One change unit = a single request, on one page or template, requiring no new functionality, no new integrations, and no design exploration, executable without a discovery conversation. One revision round included; a second revision is a new unit.

In scope

  • Swap a banner or hero image
  • Add or edit a standard content page
  • Adjust product card or category layout settings
  • Copy edits
  • Add a FAQ entry
  • Update navigation
  • Promo bar message changes
  • Price or product display tweaks

Out of scope: always quoted separately

  • Anything touching checkout
  • New third-party integrations
  • Custom functionality
  • Design concepts or "options to review"
  • Data work

The care terms, plainly

  • Site Care: $295/month. 3 change units per month. Units don't roll over. Cancel anytime. Requests go through the intake form, with a 3-business-day turnaround.
  • Task Pack: $750 for 5 units. Valid for 12 months. Same intake form, same turnaround.

What we deliberately don't offer

No uptime monitoring, no emergency or on-call support, no server maintenance, because there's nothing to maintain. BigCommerce hosts the platform, and that's a feature: your store runs on infrastructure with an enterprise uptime record, not on a server someone has to babysit. Care offerings don't cover marketing tasks.
